*David M. Evans is Professor of Statistical Genetics and Head of the Genomic Medicine Programme at the University of Queensland Diamantina Institute. He is an internationally highly recognized expert in genetic statistics and expert on Mendelian randomization studies. He is primary Investigator in the EGG (Early Growth Genetics) – consortium and has shared leadership in the GWAS of birth weight in the UK Biobank studies. He is at present Guest Professor to the Type 2 diabetes research group at Oslo Diabetes Research Centre
