Research Seminar

On Monday June 24 we had an inspiring seminar with a number of presentation from our researchers, in addition to prof. Evans invited lecture: "Using genetics to investigate the causal effect of intrauterine growth restriction on future risk of cardiometabolic disease." Paz Lopez-Doriga Ruiz gave an overview of new registry data on T1 and T2 diabetes from Norway and Gunn-Helen Moen presented her post.doc project: "Why does low birth weight increase the risk of diabetes and other cardiometabolic diseases? A study of genetic factors in HUNT ", and also gave the presentation she will do at the upcoming international meeting about genetics: "Causal effect of vitamin B12 and folate on birthweight?" Furthermore, Line Sletner presented her published and some new data on "Mother’s metabolic health and fetal intrauterine growth" and Tove Lekva gave an overview of data from the 5-year follow-up of GDM women in the STORK-study.
