1. Incidence and prevalence of childhood- onset type 1 diabetes in Norway,
assessed by linking The Norwegian Prescription Database at the National Institute of Public Health and NCDR.

2. Classification of childhood-onset diabetes in Norway.
To assess the epidemiology of different forms of diabetes and to classify incident cases

on the basis of family history, clinical data, C-peptide, autoantibodies and HLA-genotypes.

3. The signification of analyzing Zn-antibodies at the diagnosis of T1D in children.

4. Mortality in childhood-onset type 1 diabetes:
A nationwide population based cohort study. To evaluate absolute and relative mortality rates, the effects of sex and age at diagnosis, the cause of death. To assess socioeconomic status as a risk factor for mortality in T1D.
