NOK 13 Million in total research grants from Regional Health Authority

Five projects from Oslo Diabetes Research Centre were granted support as the board of the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst) distributed financial resources to new research projects for 2017:

 “Atherosclerosis and Childhood Diabetes” – a doctoral project for three years lead by Hanna Dis Margeirsdottir, postdoctoral fellow.

Thyroid and Virus Detection and Intervention” – a doctoral project for three years lead by Professor Knut Dahl-Jørgensen.

Are epigenetic modifications of key genes in placenta important links between mother’s lifestyle and fetal pre and postnatal growth patterns and future diabetes risk?” – research grant for four years for Line Sletner, postdoctoral fellow.

Early nutrition and risk of islet autoimmunity and type 1 diabetes” – a post-doctoral project for three years lead by Professor Geir Joner.

Nutritional environment of the unborn child: The role of the placenta in the maternalfetal interaction” – research grant for three months for Trond Michelsen, postdoctoral fellow.
