NOK 17 Million in total research grants from Regional Health Authority

Four projects from Oslo Diabetes Research Centre were granted support as the board of the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst) distributed financial resources to new research projects for 2016.

Open project support was granted the project “The Diabetes Virus Detection and Intervention Trial” (3 years à 2 940 000 NOK) lead by Professor Knut Dahl-Jørgensen.

The post-doctoral projects – “Gestational diabetes and offspring’s adiposity: A possible role for maternal folate and vitamin B12 status and epigenetics” lead by Professor Kåre I. Birkeland and “Detection and treatment of post-transplant diabetes mellitus (PTDM)” lead by Professor Trond Geir Jenssen – were granted funding for three years each.

The project “Fetal nutritional environment: the role of the placenta in the Maternal-Fetal Interaction” lead by Trond Melbye Michelsen was granted support as a doctoral project for three years.
